Project Name:
Heritage Lamp Post Installation
Value:
$50,000
Deliverables:
Electrical, Infrastructure Lighting
Location:
Bellevue Hill Campus
Completed:
2015 – 2016
Client:
The Scots College

Scope of Works:

The college purchased four custom-made heritage coach lamps which were approximately 3.5m tall, weighed approximately 300kgs and valued at $10,000 each. Urban was tasked to install them into specific locations around the campus.

We excavated each location, carried out prewiring, set up external lighting control to each lamp via a time clock, excavated the footings, procured the concrete truck and built the footings for each lamp post. When we took delivery, the electrical in the lamp post was quite cheap and did not reflect the physical structure so we re-engineered the lighting in each lamp post to look like a gas lantern with clear glass and a warm lamp.

Some points to note:

  • Urban carried out the lighting control, scheduled delivery via crane, complete installation of the footings and lighting design.
